Nonoba - Flash game Community

Posted in Uncategorized by Chris Benjaminsen on the September 17th, 2007

As a few of you know I have been involved in the creation of a Flash game community.
The original idea was formed over a year ago, but due to us having way to much consultancy jobs to take care of, and a bit of problems with forming the new company we where heavily delayed.

The good news is however that we are now online in the first version. For now its fairly vanilla but we will be fixing bugs and adding features from now on and forever! Our primary goal right now is to get the game API working for toplists and achievements.

Go visit the site at nonoba.com

There are two primary goals to this product, the one is to make a nice community for people who like to play games the other is to make a nice community for people who play games. To reach the first goals we provide an environment where users can play the games, comment on them and even chat live with other uses of the community while doing so. For the developers we offer a place to host there file, get exposure and possible feedback from the player community.

A really cool feature is that games are embeddable. Such that users can embed their game on a website or community they can do so without having to host the games them self.

Below is an example of a game embedded on this blog. Of course I chose my multiplayer asteroids game which is a tad to large for this blog, so excuse the overflow of the menu!

Another example can be found here http://myspace.com/nonoba which shows that the games can be embedded fully on sites like myspace

Hope you like it! And feedback is highly appreciated!
