Nonoba Labs - Realtime site overview.

Posted in Flash by Chris Benjaminsen on the January 18th, 2008

Playing around with our live communication technology we decided it would be cool to try to visualize how our users navigate our site realtime.

The result was great enough that I thought I would show it here.

Screenshot for those of you who are to lazy to goto the site:

One of the really cool things is that you can open this up in a separate window and see yourself navigate around on the site in realtime.

Wow. Thats beautiful even as just eye candy. It was fun watching guest 612 spawn a half dozen connections. Is it also set up that, lets say you wanted to display typical user patterns in a meeting, you could input a data set?

Assumedly the technology is confidential, but can you discuss some of the techniques used?

I’d love to be able to use this (or similar) for my own site(s) too, any chance there is a “free” version of this, or some info on how you made it work? e.g. does it run a tail on the (apache?) web access log?

If you have plans to release this at a price, that’s fine too, just curious about what you might have in plan for pricing.

    Thanks
    Steve
